Cold Storage
  With more than a century of history behind it, Cold Storage is an iconic name in Singapore, synonymous with fresh produce, gourmet foodstuffs and customer-friendly service. The island's oldest established supermarket chain has 49 outlets in Singapore and 16 in Malaysia and is prized for offering top quality food at affordable prices.

  With 58 supermarket outlets located in the key areas of the pivotal Indian cities of Bangalore and Hyderabad, Foodworld has established a loyal following among the country's expanding mid-to-high income earners. Its reputation is built on offering a vast range of local and imported quality products. Dairy Farm has a 49% stake in the business.




Dairy Farm acquired Giant in 1999 and, as the name suggests, this chain of hypermarkets and supermarkets has established a big reputation. Giant hypermarket's reputation for "great value, big variety and low prices" has enabled the chain to establish itself as a favourite destination for family shopping and to extend its footprint further across Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Brunei and Vietnam. In Malaysia, four new Giant hypermarkets were opened as at 30th June 2013, bringing the total to 78, while in Indonesia three new hypermarkets took the total there to 48.

Leveraging on a "great value for money" positioning, Giant supermarkets have also cultivated a popular following, enabling expansion in Malaysia, Indonesia and Brunei. The chain caters to consumers seeking a broad choice at affordable prices.

Hero holds a leading position as the premium supermarket chain across the archipelago, and has enhanced its reputation with a recent upgrade of selected outlets.


Jasons MarketPlace
  A high-end, full service supermarket, Jasons MarketPlace targets discerning consumers seeking quality, gourmet groceries, fine wines and top-brand health and beauty products. The retail chain has 24 stores in Hong Kong, seven in Taiwan, seven in Singapore and one in Malaysia.

  Dairy Farm made its first foray into the Cambodian market in March 2012 via the acquisition of a 70% interest in a company that operates eight Lucky supermarkets and ten quick service restaurants as at 30th June 2013.


  Mercato, a high-end, full service supermarket, has two stores in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, offering gourmet groceries and wines and health and beauty products for middle and upper income consumers.

The delicatessen is renowned for its personalised service, hosting regular food and wine promotions and creating an ever-growing and loyal customer base.

  In May 2012, Dairy Farm entered the Philippines market by acquiring a 50% interest in Rustan Supercenters, which has ten Shopwise hypermarkets and 18 Rustan's supermarkets. The chain also operates nine Expresslanes supermarkets which have now been rebranded as Wellcome. These stores are implementing Dairy Farm's operating approach and progressively enhancing the customer offer.

It is the city's largest supermarket chain, with 275 stores, each serviced by two deliveries of fresh food daily. Wellcome is also a well known brand in Taiwan where it has 258 outlets. The chain operates 9 stores in the Philippines.

  Following the simple yet highly effective credo "Live Well", Dairy Farm operates ten health stores in Hong Kong under licence from General Nutrition Centers (GNC). A further 51 "implanted" sections of GNC can be found in outlets across Hong Kong and its products are available in every Mannings stores. More than 170 vitamins and health supplements are sold under the GNC brand.

  The largest pharmacy, health and beauty chain in Malaysia, Guardian has spent four decades building a reputation for reliability, commitment and responsible pharmaceutical dispensing. The chain stocks a wide range of health care, skin care and beauty products, and has specialists in-store offering customers expert advice and support. As at 30th June 2013, Guardian Malaysia has increased its number of store to 402. The chain has 279 stores in Indonesia, 154 in Singapore, 21 in Brunei and 18 in Vietnam.

Health and Glow
  India's premier health and beauty chain has 94 stores located in the key cities of Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Chennai. The chain is building a loyal customer base from India's growing middle-class attracted by its wide range of brands and its commitment to excellent service. Dairy Farm has a 50% interest in Health and Glow.



  Multi-award-winning brand Mannings is the number one health and beauty chain in Hong Kong, a reputation based on its commitment to improving customers' health care, personal care, skin care and baby care, as well as providing the best in-store service. Mannings operates 351 outlets in Hong Kong, including eight Mannings Plus stores offering free health consultation services. In 2012, it also opened the first Mannings Baby store. In China, Mannings is committed to growing its store network across key cities and enhancing customer appeal by offering a wider product range and improved customer service. The chain also operates 15 stores in Macau.

  Hong Kong's leading one-stop convenience store, Dairy Farm operates a total of 911 outlets under licence from 7-Eleven, Inc., offering groceries, ready-to-eat meals and snacks, as well as providing services such as utility bill payment and transport card top-ups. The brand is synonymous with convenience, and the chain is just as well known in Singapore where it has 560 stores, and in Macau with 44 outlets. In southern China, where Dairy Farm has a 65% interest in the business, 602 outlets are operated with a focus on ready-to-eat food.

  As at 30th June 2013, Starmart has 150 stores in Indonesia. Operated by PT Hero, Starmart is one of the archipelago's leading convenience stores, offering a wide range of fresh and ready-to-eat meals.


  One of Sweden's most famous exports, IKEA, is popular worldwide for home furnishing which is both stylish and practical and sold at affordable prices. The concept has proven popular in Hong Kong, where Dairy Farm operates three outlets under franchise. In Taiwan construction of a fifth store, located in Tai Chung, is progressing well and will open later in 2013. PT Hero, in which Dairy Farm has an 80.75% interest, was granted the exclusive franchise development rights to operate IKEA stores in Indonesia and the first store is expected to open in 2014.

  Hong Kong's largest catering company, Maxim's has 625 outlets, ranging from restaurants and fast food outlets through cake shops and Japanese chain restaurants to coffee shops and institutional catering. Dairy Farm has a 50% stake in Maxim's, which in 2011 acquired full ownership of Starbucks operations in Hong Kong and Macau and has rights to develop the coffee chain in Vietnam where the first outlet was opened in February 2013.

In mainland China, Maxim's continues to expand its penetration. In addition to increasing its cake shop chain to 112 stores in June 2013, Maxim's, through its joint venture with Ippudo Japan, opened its first Ippudo Ramen restaurant in Shanghai and added more simplylife Café & Bakery and Genki Sushi outlets in Shenzhen and Guangzhou.
