Dairy Farm became the first company to form a joint venture with the Chinese Government for the operation of a flight kitchen at Beijing International Airport.

1986

Dairy Farm celebrated its centenary year. From a dairy farm in Pokfulam, the Company has grown to become a leading force in the manufacturing, wholesaling and distribution of dairy and other food products in the Pacific Region and China with a network of 300 retail outlets.

Dairy Farm was relisted on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange after being demerged from Hongkong Land. As part of the demerger, Dairy Farm acquired a 50% interest in Maxim's.

1987

Dairy Farm acquired 25% of Kwik Save Group, the sixth largest grocery retailer in the UK, and commenced supermarket operations in Taiwan.

1989

Dairy Farm acquired the 228-outlet 7-Eleven convenience store chain in Hong Kong from Jardine Matheson.
