2010

In Brunei, Giant opened its first two supermarkets in August and September to complement existing hypermarket and health and beauty stores.

Mannings Hong Kong introduced two health stores under "Mannings Plus" in September and December, offering services ranging from free professional consultations to health tests. In China, Mannings has expanded to 163 stores located in the key cities of Beijing, Chengdu, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Nanjing, Shanghai and Shenzhen.

2011

In May, Maxim's sold its 30% interest in its Starbucks business in mainland China and acquired the outstanding interests in the Hong Kong and Macau franchise. Maxim's also opened its first Chinese restaurants in Shanghai and Guangzhou, and added three Genki Sushi outlets in Shenzhen and Guangzhou during the year.

In Vietnam, five new Guardian outlets were opened during the year, bringing excellent health and beauty product range and professional service to the local community. The first Giant hypermarket was also opened in December with a full range of fresh food, grocery items, homewares and casual wear.

Our Indonesia business passed the 500-store milestone in the country during the year.

2012

In March, we entered the Cambodian market through the acquisition of a 70% interest in a company that operates seven Lucky supermarkets and nine fast food outlets in the country.

PT Hero, in which Dairy Farm has an 80.75% interest, was granted the exclusive franchise development rights to operate IKEA stores in Indonesia and the first store is targeted to open in 2014.

In May, we entered the Philippines market by acquiring a 50% interest in Rustan's Supercenters, which operates ten Shopwise hypermarkets, 13 Rustan's supermarkets and nine Expresslanes supermarkets.
